Dear Parents,
Has it only been a week?!?!? I know there has been a lot of information to digest this week, and we’re all still adjusting to this “new normal.”
First, let’s start with some happy news. Mrs. Russo welcomed her baby boy, Matthew Frank, on Friday March 20th. We congratulate her and her husband on the new addition to their family.
It was a very productive first week with distance learning, and the teachers have reported great success in utilizing video conferencing and lessons with their students. The teachers and I have spoken at length about ways to improve the schedule of meeting times with students, and so, your children will be given an updated schedule to follow starting tomorrow. Teachers will also remind students of the schedule for when assignments are due, so students can better plan their work-flow. We look at this as an ever-evolving process, and we will keep you updated as changes are made.
The Superintendent for the Diocese of Brooklyn has asked me to share a letter with you. Click here. Also enclosed to this is information about how to contact the Board of Education Committee on Special Ed if you have a child who receives any type of service. Click here. The BOE is planning on continuing student services through our Google distance learning platform, but you will need to reach out to them to get more information. If you have questions, please let me know.
Also in this email is another survey type document I would like you to participate in. The response to my first 2 surveys was tremendous, and I thank you for that. I ask for your cooperation with this one as well. Please see the link below and complete the survey this evening.

As always, please feel free to reach out to your child’s teacher or myself if you have any questions or concerns. I thank you again for your outpouring of support and ongoing cooperation.
