Dear Students,
I am so very proud of you! It has been a long and often difficult journey, one we will never forget. You have worked very hard in your academics and it has shown to your teachers, parents and me. You all managed to adjust to drastic changes during the last few months with positivity, flexibility, and resilience. I only hope that you know that you are stronger and braver because of what has occurred. If there is one thing I hope you walked away with this year, it is the fact that you matter.
I also want you to remember that kindness matters. We have to get in the habit of building each other up. It is so important to help our peers and to work hard at being kind to each other. By reaching out we can help those who might have difficulty reaching out for themselves. Congratulate one another, and encourage your friends and peers toward positive goals.
Attached you will find many online resources, different programs, and things to do to keep busy. I will always encourage when possible and with permission to put down those electronic devices to go outside. Take a few moments to breathe the fresh air.
I will miss you all and look forward to seeing you in September. I am sending you and your family love and prayers for a safe and healthy summer. Keep singing, playing, making, drawing, writing, problem-solving, getting outside to enjoy the sunshine, and learning about our amazing world. Hope your summer is filled with fun and adventure.
