Dear Parents,
As is noted on our calendar and was mentioned at our Parent meeting this week, next week is Catholic Schools’ Week. Following is the schedule for the week:
Monday, February 8th
Penny Wars Begins (Ends Thursday)
- Students bring in pennies, nickels, and dimes throughout the week
- Class with the most money gets to choose organization to donate plus they receive a pizza party
Door Decoration Contest Begins
Teachers pick theme for door decorations and students work on decorating the door. The Doors must be completed by the end of Thursday, February 11th. Friday, February 12th, we will choose a winner. Our Classroom Aides (Mrs. Beiter, Mrs. Cestaro, Ms. Roberts, Ms. Mulligan, Ms. Sara and Mrs. McMahon) will be our judges.
Tuesday, February 9th
- Balloon Virtual Show (Nursery-2nd Grade Only)
- Team Building Challenge 8th Grade vs Teachers. Teachers will work in pairs competing with 8th grade groups in STEM building activities.
Wednesday, February 10th
- Student Teachers (2nd & 3rd Period) 8th Grade students will teach from the doors as teachers assist inside the classroom
- Free Dress Down for Grades K-7, “Dress Up” for 8th grade
- Bingo in the Afternoon
- Ice Cream for classes
Thursday, February 11th
- Penny Wars Counting
- Crazy Accessories Day – Students can wear accessories they choose with their school uniform
- Movie & Popcorn Afternoon plus finish Door Decorating Project
Friday, February 12th – Half Day
- Ring Ceremony for 8th grade
- Door Contest Winner (Whichever Classroom Aides are here will judge the doors and choose a winner)
- Valentine Day Class Parties
